Mosgo & Partners team, together with German attorneys-at-law, achieved the enforcement of an arbitration award related to recovering 1.9 million euros from a German company in favor of the Russian client in a case that lasted since 2017.

The arbitration award was rendered in December 2020 in Hamburg. The defendant repeatedly tried to achieve its annulment or refusal to execute it in a German state court. However, thanks to the brilliant work of Mosgo & Partners team with the support of colleagues from Germany, all his attempts failed.

Nevertheless, this was far from being the only difficulty.

The German court soon declared the defendant bankrupt, as a result of which the chances of receiving money from him became doubtful. With great difficulty, Mosgo & Partners team managed to include the client’s claims into the register of debts of the German company. 

After the aggravation of the international political situation, the transfer of funds from the bank account in Germany in favor of the Russian company could be blocked due to US and EU sanctions against the Russian Federation restricting the payment systems operation. Still, Mosgo & Partners team gave the German bank irrefutable arguments in favor of the fact that the debtor’s funds should be transferred to the client’s account in Russia. On December 4^th, 2024, the client of Mosgo & Partners finally received the money to his Russian bank account.
