Svetlana Makarova took part in a working meeting on visa and consular issues
On November 18th, 2025, Svetlana Makarova, Managing Partner of Mosgo & Partners, took part in a working meeting on visa and consular issues. This event was organized by the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce.
The participants were addressed by the diplomats from the German Embassy in Russia: Tore Neumann, Head of the Consular and Legal Department, and Predrag Filipovich, Head of the Visa Department. Then there was a discussion in the question-and answer format.
The focus was on travel restrictions between Russia and Germany. As a result of the new rules, only close relatives of EU residents and transport workers will be allowed to obtain multiple-entry visas for travelling from Russia to Germany. To obtain regular visas, Russians should be ready for more thorough and frequent checks than previously. There are still no direct flights.
«There remain numerous business and family ties between Russia and German residents. Our lawyers provide legal support to these persons in the framework of the law, including in visa matters, – Svetlana Makarova comments. – We are grateful to the Russian–German Chamber of Commerce for this meeting, which is so important for maintaining the mutual trust between us and our German colleagues».
