The Central Bank of the Russian Federation extended restrictions on money transfers abroad for another six months

The restrictions will be in effect until March 31ер, 2026 inclusive (Information ща the Bank of Russia dated 26.09.2025).

The Bank of Russia retained the following rules:

· citizens of the Russian Federation and non-residents from “friendly” countries can transfer within a month no more than 1 million US dollars (or an equivalent amount in another currency) to any accounts in foreign banks and no more than 10 thousand US dollars (or an equivalent amount in another currency) by money transfer systems;

· non-residents who work in Russia have the right to transfer their wages abroad;

· organizations from “unfriendly” countries and non-residents from these countries who do not work in Russia are prohibited from transferring funds abroad (the restriction does not apply to foreign companies controlled by Russian individuals);

· banks from “unfriendly” countries have the right to transfer money in rubles through correspondent accounts in Russian banks if the accounts of the payer and recipient are opened in foreign banks.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation noted that these restrictions do not apply to foreign investors who invest in the Russian financial market for transfers from In-type accounts to accounts abroad.
